Flat vs. High Gloss: Best Finishes for Bright Colors

Everyone who knows me can tell you I don’t shy away from color. One look at my portfolio and you’ll see glossy green, splashes of yellow and pops of orange. Color infuses creativity and evokes excitement when used properly. When painting with bright colors, it’s especially important to choose the right finish. Glossy paint is a great choice for bright colors because of its long-lasting wear and ease of use when cleaning. Remember to always use primer for prepping surfaces which will also enhance the finish.

Lately, I’ve been influenced by the colorful towns of people around the world. It’s a thrill to see residents use fun colors to brighten up their facades. My travels have inspired me to use the color Green Grape which is why I’ve selected my favorite projects to inspire your color journey. Gather inspiration and you’ll be all set to try that bold red, glossy blue, or PANTONE’s color of the year ultra violet!
